our website and also across different websites. With the help of
cookies, communication between our server and your computer can be
improved and the use of our website can be made more convenient. Cookies
may not only originate from the operator of the website, but also from
third party providers. Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session
cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit.
Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These
cookies enable us to recognize your browser the next time you visit our
website. You can set your browser so that you are informed when cookies
are set and only allow cookies in specific cases, to exclude the
acceptance of cookies for specific cases or in general, and to activate
the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Please note

Google Analytics uses tag files and cookies. The cookies are stored on
your computer and generate information about your use of our website.
This information is transmitted to a Google server in the USA for
storage. IP anonymization is activated on this website, i.e. your IP
address will be shortened by Google within Member States of the European
Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European
Economic Area before being transmitted. The full IP address is only
transmitted to a Google server in the USA in exceptional cases and
shortened there. For the exceptional cases in which personal data is
transferred to the USA, Google has submitted to the EU-US Privacy
Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
Google uses
the information generated for reports to TANOS on the use and activities
on our website and to provide other services for TANOS in connection
with use of the website and the Internet, including functions to display
advertisements, and Google Analytics reports on performance by
demographic characteristics and interests. Google's demographic and
interest performance analytics reports use information and visitor data
from third parties (such as age, gender and interests) obtained through
interest-based advertising by Google. Google will also transmit this
information to third parties, if required by law or if third parties
process this data on behalf of Google.
The IP address transmitted by
your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other
Google data. You can prevent the use and storage of cookies by
adjusting your browser software accordingly. However, we note that in
such case you may not be able to use all functions of our website to
their full extent.
You may also prevent Google from collecting and
processing data generated through cookies and relating to your use of
the website (including your IP address). To do this, you must download
and install the browser plug-in available under the following link:
Browser add-on to disable Google Analytics. This add-on is not created or provided by TANOS and TANOS is not responsible for its operation.

5.4 Remarketing
5.4.1 Google Tag Manager
This
website uses the Google Tag Manager of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre
Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). Google Tag Manager is used to
manage website tags (identifiers) through an interface. By using the
Google Tag Manager, no cookies are set and no personal data is
collected. The tool triggers web tags, which in turn may collect data.
Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If deactivation has been
made at the domain or cookie level, it will remain in effect for all
tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.
5.4.2 Google AdWords and Google Analytics Remarketing
This
website uses the function of Google Analytics in connection with Google
AdWords Remarketing of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain
View, CA 94043, USA) The Google AdWords remarketing technology enables
us to reach users who have already visited our website and are
interested in our offer through targeted advertising on the pages of the
Google Partner Network. For this purpose, a cookie is set when visiting
our site in order to recognize the user when visiting a page of other
Google Partner Network participants. Furthermore, user behavior can be
analyzed and then used for targeted product recommendations and
interest-based advertising. The data stored in the cookie is not
combined with other personal data to create user profiles. By using this
website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in
the manner and for the purposes set out in this Privacy Statement.
You can disable Google's use of cookies by visiting
www.google.com/privacy/ads
and clicking the “opt-out” button. Alternatively, you can disable the
use of cookies by third parties by visiting the opt-out page of the
Network Advertising Initiative at
www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp. Note that these
actions may prevent you from using all functions of this website to
their full extent. Further information on Google's terms and conditions
can be found at www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
5.4.3 Google Conversion-Tracking
We
use the so-called conversion tracking in connection with Google
AdWords. When you click on an ad taken out by Google, a cookie is set
for conversion tracking. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not
used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of
this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can
recognize that the user has clicked on the ad and has been redirected to
such page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie.
Cookies cannot be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers.
The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to
generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for
conversion tracking. Customers see the total number of users who
clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion
tracking tag. However, they will not receive any information that
personally identifies users. If you do not wish to participate in
tracking, you can block this use by easily deactivating the Google
Conversion Tracking cookie via your Internet browser under User
Settings. This will prevent you from being included in the conversion
tracking statistics. For more information on Google AdWords and Google
Conversion Tracking, please see Google's privacy policy:
https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.
You can set your browser so
that you are informed when cookies are set and only allow cookies in
specific cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for specific cases
or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when
closing the browser. When cookies are deactivated, the functionality of
this website may be limited.
5.4.4 Google reCAPTCHA
We
use Google reCAPTCHA (below referred to as “reCAPTCHA”) on our
websites. The provider is Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway,
Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
The reCAPTCHA service is used to check
whether the data entered on our websites (e.g. in a contact form) is
done by a human being or by an automated program. For this purpose
reCAPTCHA analyses the behavior of the website visitor on the basis of
different characteristics. This analysis starts automatically as soon as
the website visitor enters the website. For analysis reCAPTCHA
evaluates various information (e.g. IP address, time the website visitor
stays on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data
collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google.
The reCAPTCHA
analyses runs completely in the background. Visitors to the website are
not informed that an analysis is taking place.
Further information
about Google reCAPTCHA and Google's privacy policy can be found at:
https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and
https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.
5.4.5 Facebook Remarketing / Retargeting
This
website uses remarketing tags, such as the Facebook Pixel from the
social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA
94304, USA. The remarketing tags establish a direct connection between
the Facebook server and the user's browser when visiting our website.
This will transmit to the Facebook server the identity of our websites
which the user has visited with his/her IP address. This information is
available to us for use when displaying Facebook Ads. This allows the
effectiveness of Facebook advertisements to be evaluated for statistical
and market research purposes and future advertising measures to be
optimized. Facebook assigns this information to the user’s personal
Facebook account. We note that we are not aware of the content of the
transmitted data or its use by Facebook. The collected data is anonymous
to us, and we cannot draw any conclusions about the identity of the
users. For more information about Facebook's collection and use of the
data, your rights and ways to protect your privacy, please see
Facebook's privacy policy at www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If
you do not want Facebook to associate the collected information
directly with your Facebook account, you can deactivate the remarketing
function “Custom Audiences” through this link. To do this, you must be logged in to Facebook.
5.5 Social media plug-ins
Our website also uses programs (plug-ins) from the following social networks: Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and
Vimeo.
These are services provided from U.S. companies:
Facebook Inc. (1601 p. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA),
Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA),
Instagram Inc. (1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA), and
Vimeo Inc. (555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA).
The
plug-ins are indicated on our website by the logos or symbols of the
respective companies (e.g. “Like” and/or “Recommend” buttons). When you
visit a page on our website that contains such a plug-in, your browser
establishes a direct connection to the servers of the respective
company, which in turn transmits the content of the plug-in to your
browser and integrates it into the displayed page. This will forward the
information that you have visited our website to such companies. We
have no influence on the data collected and on data processing, nor are
we aware of the full extent of data collection or deletion, the purposes
of processing, or the storage periods. TANOS is not responsible for the
privacy practices of any social media plug-in provider or website. The
plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as user profiles
and uses these for the purposes of advertising, market research and/or
demand-oriented design of its website. Such an evaluation takes place in
particular (including for users who are not logged in) for the
presentation of ads tailored to suit a market need and in order to
inform other users of the social network about your activities on our
website. You may block or object to the creation of these user profiles
by contacting the respective plug-in provider. Through the plug-ins we
offer you the possibility to interact with social networks and other
users, so that we can improve our website and services and make them
more interesting for you as a user. If you are logged in to a social
media provider via your personal user account during your visit to our
website, the provider can assign the website visit to your account. By
interacting with plug-ins, e.g. by clicking the "Like" button or leaving
a comment, this information is transmitted directly to these companies
and stored there.
If you visit one of our pages equipped with a Vimeo
plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. The Vimeo
server will be informed which of our pages you have visited. Vimeo also
obtains your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to
Vimeo or do not have an account with Vimeo. The information collected by
Vimeo is transmitted to the Vimeo server in the USA. TANOS is not
responsible for the privacy practices of Vimeo. If you are logged in to
your Vimeo account, you allow Vimeo to associate your web surfing
behavior directly with your personal profile. You can prevent this by
logging out of your Vimeo account.
For more information on the handling of user data, please refer to Vimeo's privacy policy at: https://vimeo.com/privacy
If
you wish to prevent such data transmission, you must log out of your
account before visiting our website. The purpose and scope of the data
collection by these companies as well as the further processing and use
of your data there and your rights and setting options for the
protection of your privacy can be found in the Privacy Statements
provided by:
Facebook (www.facebook.com/about/privacy/)
Google (www.google.com/policies/privacy/)
Instagram (https://instagram.com/about/legal/privacy/)
Vimeo (https://vimeo.com/privacy)

IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interest of a uniform
and appealing presentation of our online services. If your browser does
